James Silver came to Australia in 1892 where he was later joined by his fiancee Janet Todd.
They married in Brisbane, Queensland, before moving more than 200km west to Kooroongarra
where they raised their family.
They later returned to Brisbane where James continued his trade as a builder.
James and Janet had the following children:
