    INTERPLEADER CASE.
William Lidstone, William Nunn, James W. Nunn, claimant. Mr. W. Thompson appeared on behalf of Mr. J. W. Nunn.
It appears in this case that Lidstone had recently obtained a verdict at the Court from William Nunn for wilful destruction of property, and not having obtained the money, he ordered the bailiff to seize Cab No. 47, the property of William Nunn, and in this was prevented by J. W Nunn, tailor, who asserted he was the rightful owner of the cab, having bought it from his brother. Harry Cheetham, tailor, gave evidence stating that J. W. Nunn said the cab was his property, and had offered it to witness for sale or hire. The Police Magistrate dismissed the case.

    MUNICIPAL BATHS DROWNING FATALITY.
Several witnesses gave evidence at the Police Court House yesterday at a magisterial inquiry held into the circum- stances surrounding the death of a boy named Vivian Nunn, by drowning, in the Municipal Baths, on the 18th of October last. The Police Magistrate, Mr. W. E. H. Ferguson, presided, and Senior-sergeant M. J. Bergin conducted the examination of witnesses. The only fresh informa tion elicited to that already published was given by George Skinner, aged ten years. He stated that he noticed the deceased come up two or three times, but thought he was trying to see how long he could stop under water. He did not think the deceased was in difficulties. Witness could not swim. He told a boy named Horton about it later, and Horton said that he had touched something while swimming. S. Horton, aged twelve years, stated that he remembered Skinner telling him that there was somebody diving about the spot where the deceased was found. A lad named Mattthews pushed witness in at the shallow part of the baths. He did not see Matthews push anybody else in. James Warren Nunn, father of the deceased, stated that he had not heard of anybody having pushed his son in. Arthur William Matthews stated that he did not push Horton in and that he would not push any boy in as he knew what the consequences might be. Constable J. P. Carmody also gave evidence. He stated that Dr. D. E. A. Buchanan told him that he was satisfied that death was due to accidental drowning and that he would give a certificate accordingly. Witness tendered a certificate to that effect. The inquiry waw then closed.
