Notes: James was was a tenant farmer at Shanchenshaw, Fetteresso, from before 1840 to 1852, where he paid sums of ?68 (for land?) and ?1 (for house?) to his landlord and cousin George Silver. He then farmed at Kintoulin 1852-1865, where he had 106 acres and employed two labourers and one boy. He died aged 54* on 30 May 1865 at Kintoulin (Kintewline, Maryculter) (Banchory Devenick grave 93 p.20). He was the third child of Alexander Silver and Elizabeth Stirling who were married at Banchory Devenick on 28 August 1803 (contracted 6 August). James married Agnes THOMSON on 10 May 1840 in Fetteresso, Kincardineshire, Scotland, UK.
