    However, his wife Lavinia is described as married on the 1911 census, even though John Septimus Coker is not found anywhere on that census and is presumed dead.


    Note that on the 1891 census, his stated age is 10 years older than he is. Not found on 1901 census. They had a child in 1900 but are not found on 1901 census. Their son, John Harold Leo Coker, is on the 1911 census as the adopted son of Lavinia's twin sister Rose and her husband.

    As a twist, twin sister Rosina, has an adopted son, John Harold Leo Coker, born Brockley, London C1900, who is the presumed child of John Septimus and Lavinia.
    No record found of John Septimus Coker's death, but Lavinia remarried in 1917 to a James Thresh. John Harold Leo Coker is staying with his mother and her second husband in 1939 and is described as James Thresh's stepson.

    William J.T.Coker emigrated to Australia about 1854 and had property in Argyle Street, St Kilda, Melbourne, Victoria.
    First three children born in Australia but the family returned to England in June 1858 on the ship, Avon from Melbourne
    Information from a church worker of St Dunstans about an entry under Coker/Stonehewer of monies spent on a building project within half a mile of Narrow Street for seaman in 1857. Known as Albert Gardens, the building its U-shaped. There is a note in the record that the "sons took over the building''. Perhaps that's the reason William Coker and family returned to England from Australia. On the 1861 census, William J.T. Coker, ship's chandler, is running the family operation. When living in Melbourne, Australia, William may have been working as a painter/decorator.
